I'm Suang Yee, born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I am currently in the UK - studying, working, traveling... (and bumming around).
I obtained a Diploma in Architecture from Taylor's College in 2007 and then continued my studies in the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. (click here for further details) Thanks to the recession, I'm currently working as a full time barista in a local coffee house instead of doing my internship, though I also do freelance work for an architect. I'm also working on an online project, which will be revealed in the future.
Before I left Malaysia, I told my friends that I was going to Scotland for a few years. In the end I spent only four months in Glasgow, before going on exchange for a semester in Ghent, Belgium. Thereafter I returned to the UK and stayed in Central London for several months while sorting out my life. Eventually I moved to Hertfordshire (just outside London), where I will stay until the summer......
Alex is the name I mention most because he is the one I see all the time! I have to listen to his mumblings, rants, stories and discoveries (the reverse is also true: he has to listen to my whining, complaints, emoing and bitchings). He's my boyfriend and shares my vision, though we go about it in different ways. We don't walk the same path, but a parallel one. More importantly, he's my personal cook and tour guide!
In the blog I talk about life in UK, traveling, and occasionally jot down my thoughts. The name of this site is derived from my name, which means "double happiness" in Mandarin. Similarly, I hope readers will derive pleasure and happiness as well as inspiration from my blog... I know it's not perfect, but I'm working hard...
